Tiptree 10 Entry, Date & Race Guide

The Tiptree 10 is one of Essex’s best-known and most established 10-mile road races, taking place each autumn in the village of Tiptree near Colchester. Organised by Tiptree Road Runners, the race has developed a strong reputation for fast times, excellent organisation, and a supportive club-running atmosphere, attracting runners from across Essex and the wider South East.

The course follows quiet rural roads through the Essex countryside around Tiptree, Messing, and Hardy’s Green. While generally regarded as a fast route, the race includes gentle undulations and a tougher closing section that adds an extra challenge late in the race. The combination of long country-road stretches, strong marshalling, and consistent pacing support has helped make the event particularly popular with runners targeting personal bests, autumn fitness benchmarks, or preparation races ahead of marathon training blocks.
