The Middlesbrough Runs is a growing community running festival that brings together the Middlesbrough 10K, Ali Brownlee 5K and family-friendly activities in the heart of Teesside. Organised by Events of the North, the event celebrates local running culture while offering race options for a wide range of abilities. The festival was created from the long-established Middlesbrough 10K and the Ali Brownlee 5K, building on the legacy of the former Tees Pride 10K.

At the centre of the event is a fast and accessible town-centre course that passes some of Middlesbrough’s best-known landmarks, attracting both first-time runners and experienced athletes chasing a personal best. Support from local spectators, a strong community atmosphere and the event’s connection to the town give the festival a distinctive North East character.
