Henley Half Marathon Entry, Date & Race Guide

The Henley Half Marathon is one of the South East’s most popular autumn half marathons, combining a scenic Thames Valley route with a lively race-day atmosphere in the historic town of Henley-on-Thames. Starting and finishing at Henley Rugby Club, the course takes runners through the town centre, across the famous Henley Bridge, alongside the River Thames, and into the surrounding countryside.

The route is known for its varied scenery and memorable challenge, including the well-known “Heartbreak Hill” climb before a fast finish back towards the rugby club. With road closures through key sections, strong local support, and a long-established history dating back to the early 1980s, the event attracts both experienced club runners and those taking on the half marathon distance for the first time.
